About Us

Sight & Sound Studios, LLC was formed in 2004 so husband and wife duo Richard Bowen and Michelle Charoensawadsiri could provide the world with portrait painting and music recording services.

Portrait Painting

Michelle is a brilliant portrait painter. She graduated from Shepherd University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. With multiple shows to her credit, she has collected commissions for an assortment of portraits, and even sold some work she did on her own for pleasure. Even the Art in Embassies Program selected Michelle for the purpose of decorating the US Embassy in Panama in 2006 and 2007!

Michelle's portrait pricing starts at $500 and goes up from there depending on size and subject matter.

Sound Recording

Richard has a passion for music that started at the age of four when his parents started him on piano lessons. He's been studying the art of recording since 2003, when he purchased his first multitrack recorder, an 8 channel MOTU. Since then he's recorded many musicians, including: Ernie Bradley and The Grassy Ridge, Idle Ride, Jake Trenary, Chris Youngblood, Tragedy Unfolds, Baltimore Ledge, Exotic Groove, and Sanity Is Not Statistical. With an understanding of the importance of all music, Richard doesn't limit himself to any particular genre. In his home-based studio leveraging the power of ProTools, he can record up to 16 tracks separately and simultaneously.

Richard's rates are currently $35/h.
